Northside Baptist Philippine Church Planting
The goal of every missionary ought to be the establishment of indigenous churches in whatever country he ministers. Our goal has been to see churches planted that will be pastored by nationals and supported by national currency.
I am pleased to introduce Northside Baptist Philippine Church Planting to assist nationals pastors in establishing churches.
God had given us a Filipino national, Pastor Jonnel Suyat, who is focused on training nationals for church planting in the Philippines. You all know we have been working both in person and Skype training eighteen preacher boys and some young ladies. Now we are officially starting five churches in the Philippines.
May I remind you of the Apostle Paul’s first missionary journey? “He started four churches on his first missionary journey in about 18 months. In fact, he didn’t even ordain elders in those churches until he traveled back through those cities at the tail end of his first missionary journey.” (Copied from James Ruckman, missionary to Ghana)
When the Apostle Paul went on his missionary journeys he did not go alone. He took others with him. As a result, he planted churches rapidly. Is that possible to repeat? Now I know I am not an apostle, but God has given us a group of pastors that are willing to devote time to remotely train nationals via Skype. Do you realize that in midst of Covid, when a lot of missionaries were handicapped with restrictions, our ministry accelerated? This group of pastors/teachers have banded together to establish Northside Baptist Philippine Church Planting to be a clearing house to transfer finances legally to the Filipino church planters with the goal of these churches becoming indigenous in four years. You may contact me for more details.
Northside Baptist Church is responsible for my personal support, but if you would like to help financially support churches in the Philippines for four years, please send that support to Victory Baptist Church, 8343 Harris Road Lodi, Ohio 44254. Please make the check payable to Victory Baptist Church and tag it in the memo line NBPCP or Philippines. All finances sent will go to the national pastors on a four-year plan. We have established an advisory board for this clearing house. Pastor Brent Lenentine, New Mexico; Pastor Joe Williams, Ohio; Pastor Richard Robinson, Colorado; Pastor Mark Smith, Indiana and myself are on the board of directors.
